MEET CONNIE
Connie Maday is a leadership coach, educator, and speaker dedicated to helping parents, educators, and communities raise confident, capable, and connected young people.
Her work sits at the intersection of parenting, education, and personal growth—grounded in the belief that how we guide young people today shapes the leaders of tomorrow.
helping young people uncover their “spark”.
HER STORY
Connie began her career in education, spending over two decades working with students in elementary school settings as a classroom teacher, teacher librarian, and literacy leader.
Throughout her time in the classroom, she saw firsthand that the most meaningful learning happens through connection—when children feel seen, supported, and inspired to discover their unique strengths.
Working with more than a thousand students over the years, she became deeply passionate about helping young people uncover their “spark”—their interests, their voice, and their sense of purpose.
THE SHIFT
As the world shifted during Covid, Connie felt called to expand her impact beyond the classroom.
She began reimagining how she could support not only students—but also the parents, educators, and communities guiding them.
This shift led to the creation of Spark to Empower, a platform and growing movement designed to support youth, families, and leaders in building confidence, connection, and purpose.
HER WORK TODAY
Today, Connie works with individuals, families, schools, and organizations through coaching, workshops, speaking, and digital programs.
Her approach blends:
•education
•mindset work
•leadership development
•and real-world parenting insight
She helps people navigate challenges with more clarity, communicate more effectively, and show up with intention—in their homes, classrooms, and communities.
HER PHILOSOPHY
At the core of Connie’s work is a simple belief:
Leadership is not something we step into later in life—it’s something we cultivate from the very beginning.
It starts in our homes.
It’s reinforced in our schools.
And it expands into the way we move through the world.
When young people are given the tools to understand themselves, use their voice, and build confidence, they don’t just succeed—they lead.
PERSONAL NOTE
As a mother of three, Connie understands that parenting is not a one-size-fits-all journey.
It’s evolving, layered, and often overwhelming—especially in a world filled with constant information and competing approaches.
Her work is rooted in helping parents cut through that noise, trust themselves, and show up with more ease, confidence, and connection.
SPARK TO EMPOWER
Connie is also the founder of Spark to Empower, a nonprofit dedicated to amplifying youth voices and cultivating the next generation of leaders.
Through programs, storytelling, and community initiatives, Spark creates spaces where young people are seen, heard, and empowered to lead.
